The famous (or infamous) scrumptiously soft, 100% plush cotton tee shirt that swept the nation during the Great Recession of 2008 is back!
Not that we're headed that far down again, but the road is going to be bumpy, to say the least and we thought it might be time to bring the great Tee Shirt with the rattled little man back again.
The scrumptiously soft tee, in white or dark gray with the rattled little man is perfect for the times.
You ask, "Who in the world would wear a tee that says, I used to be rich?" Good question.
Obviously we thought people who once had a comfortable amount of dough, but no longer do, were going to be the major buyers of these oh-so-adorable-funny-irreverent-silly-relatively-cheap-yet-high-quality-and comfy tees. It turns out they are, but they’re not the only ones.
Here are some of the others - past and present:
...People who were never rich but like to pretend they were.
...Parents who are sending their kids to college.
...Kids whose parents sent them to college.
...Savvy investors who thought Enron was a solid investment.
...Savvy investors who thought FTX was a no-brainer.
...Vacationers who are returning from Las Vegas or similar bad choice destination.
...Vacationers who are about to leave for Las Vegas who will have something to wear after they lose their shirt.
...Graduates with a well-earned diploma, no job and a loan that insists on being paid.
...Entrepreneurs who made a fortune, lost it, made another fortune and are about to lose it again.
...Wannabe heirs who overestimated what their billionaire uncles thought of them.
...Investors who buy high and sell low (or investors who buy while high)
...People who empathize, pity and/or are afraid of becoming one of the above.
...People who don't give a shit what their tee shirt says as long as it is oh-so-adorable-funny-irreverent-silly-relatively-cheap-yet-high-quality-and comfy.
